Stewardship (with a concern for our financial condition, facilities, lay ministry, pastoral leadership, and staff) provides for the immediate and long-term needs of our parish. It ensures that the parish has enough resources to carry out our mission without placing undue strain on the clergy or the laity. It also ensures that parish buildings are maintained in good condition.
Good stewardship means that our pastoral leader and staff encourage all parishioners to take part in ministry, and that we parishioners answer this call by using our gifts and talents in service to the parish and our community. This obligation stems from our baptismal call to service and from an urgent need to address the dramatic decrease in the number of clergy.
