St. William of York welcomed Father Michael Foppiano in July 2012 from St. John the Evangelist (Severna Park) where he had served as Associate Pastor and, prior to that, Immaculate Conception Church (Towson). Father Michael studied at the Theological College of Catholic University of America in Washingon, DC where he graduated in 2002 with honors. He then continued his seminary studies at Mount St. Mary’s Seminary in Emmitsburg, where he graduated with a Masters Degree in Theology. With great joy, Fr. Michael was ordained to the Priesthood on June 23, 2007 by Bishop Francis Malooly, then Auxiliary Bishop of Baltimore.
Born and raised in Woodhaven, NY and later living in Bethpage, NY, Father Michael has one brother, Edward. In his spare time, Father enjoys reading, cooking, gardening and has even been known to update his Facebook status on occasion! The SWY Parish is happy to be served by a man who so lovingly balances and blends faith, hard work, and relaxation.
You may contact Fr. Michael at the Parish Center at 410-566-2140 or via email at: mfoppiano@archbalt.org.
